This legacy comes from Alexandre Adamiu, the hotel’s founder, who inherited Paris Filmes, the prestigious production company established in the 1960s by his father, Sandi Adamiu, a Romanian immigrant.
Handwritten letter by Jack Warner
Jack Warner fut l’un des quatre fondateurs des studios Warner Bros., et joue un rôle unique dans le monde du cinéma. En raison de son importance, bien entendu, l’hôtel Sandi a acquis en 2007 une lettre autographe écrite par l’un des plus grands dirigeants du circuit cinématographique.

Another highlight of the collection is a series of official photographs of Marlon Brando taken during the filming of The Appaloosa (1966), acquired at Christie’s, one of the world’s most renowned auction houses. These rare images honor the enduring legacy of Brando—an eternal icon of cinema whose career spanned more than six decades. Over the years, he received numerous awards, including Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and the Cannes Film Festival’s Best Actor Prize.
For his legendary performance in The Godfather, he won the Academy Award for Best Actor, though he famously declined it in protest against Hollywood’s treatment of Native Americans in film and television.

Acquired at Christie’s auction house in 2007, a handwritten letter signed by Rita Hayworth is among the treasures of the Sandi Hotel collection, available for guests to admire.
Over the course of her 40-year career, Hayworth distinguished herself as a dancer, actress, and producer. Rising to fame in the 1940s as one of Hollywood’s brightest stars, she appeared in 61 films over 37 years. The press famously dubbed her “The Love Goddess” after she became one of the most glamorous icons of the silver screen.
In 1999, the American Film Institute honored her as one of the 25 greatest female stars in cinema history, securing her place among the 50 greatest legends of all time.
