Renato Kodelic

Renato Kodelic

Renato Koledic, a Croatian artist, studied drawing and painting in Zagreb. He spent part of his childhood in Japan, where he was exposed to Japanese culture and art.

He began his artistic career in the 1980s in Italy and the Netherlands, where he also worked as a portraitist.
Later, during his time in Latin America, he lived in Argentina and created a series of works in watercolor and pastel.

In 1991, he discovered Paraty on the Brazilian coastline and, captivated by its natural beauty, decided to make the city his home. Inspired by a wide range of influences, Koledic works in diverse media, including oil painting, watercolor, drawing, sculpture, masks, and caricatures—the latter often created live in front of the Sandi Hotel.

He has participated in numerous solo and collective exhibitions, and his works are now represented across all continents.
