Gabriel Wickbold, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1984, began his career as a photographer in 2006, after exploring poetry and music. Over the years, he has created six distinctive authorial series and exhibited his work in cities such as São Paulo, New York, Stockholm, Lisbon, London, and Miami. Today, more than 15 of his works are held in the permanent collections of prominent institutions, including Erarta Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and the Museum of Brazilian Art (MAB) in São Paulo, Brazil.

In 2019, in partnership with BMW, Wickbold showcased his work during the opening week of Paris Photo. That same year, he was honored as the featured photographer at the Xposure International Photography Festival in the United Arab Emirates.

In 2020, he became the youngest artist to present a solo exhibition at the Museum of Brazilian Art of FAAP (MAB) and was recognized as one of GQ magazine’s “Men of the Year.” Widely celebrated, Gabriel Wickbold is now regarded as one of Brazil’s leading contemporary artists.
